A little bit about me 🙋🏻♀️

My journey into product design is a bit of an adventure. I enjoyed math, so I studied actuarial science (basically using math & statistics to assess risk) in university. I quickly learned that although I liked math, I definitely did not want to be an actuary. After undergrad, I did some soul searching via a gap year in Japan, where I learned about UX from a girl who had studied HCI in university.
After coming back to Canada, I decided to take a risk and make a career change, and went back to school to study UX design. I've always loved art and the thrill of solving a good mystery (play point and click escape games were my childhood), and I love how as a product designer, I get to channel these passions in my day to day - by merging my creativity with the satisfaction of untangling complex problems.
What excites me the most about my job? Definitely being able to meet and work with so many super talented people in the industry - not just in design but also in product, engineering, and more. I love collaborating with my team to deliver solutions that help our users.
When I'm not working on strategies with my PM, or heads down in Figma, you'll probably find me relaxing by playing Animal Crossing or some new detective game I’ve found. I'm also a die-hard Ghibli and horror movie fan (there’s no in between). When I’m not online, I’m definitely doing photoshoots with my chubby cat!
